In the first part of 2005 I was watching a tv talk show. And the topic was on girls in junior-high and high school who would wear colored gel-bands. And when a boy would brake the band she was wearing she would preform a sex act on him. Each color would represent a different sexual act. Not only is this wrong,and it ticked me off, but as different girls talked about why thy would do this. The main reason was pure presser. Not only from the boys but from their girl friends too. Then I got angry really angry and I will never forget that at that moment I was so angry that I asked GOD " Why cant their be a Band for you that wont break?"
Later that night I saw that my nephew Michael wearing a band and asked him where he got it. It wasn't a gel band but it was a wide band that said De De Jonera from Taco Bell. It was to help support the Alaskan dog musher in her battle with cancer. Then the Lord gave me the idea of a band for him. To encourage them to not give in to pure presser and wait for marriage to have sex. And to have the courage to abstain from sexual immorality. And the boldness to speak out in support of the choice of abstinence.
Over the next couple of weeks the Lord started to show me many things that this band would stand for. For strength and courage to stand in a world of immorality and be Pure. Pure for Him and your future spouse. To give them the gift of your virginity. And to those who have lost it or had it stolen form them the chance to be Re-Virginized through Christ. That no mater what mistakes you have made when you ask for forgiveness, the White Robe of Righteousness that you inherit from Jesus Christ that some times becomes dirty from sin, your robe is washed clean as snow and is pure white again. That the band had to be white to represent, not only Purity but to also represent Righteousness.
So I started to surf the web to find a white band that said PURITY on it. But all i could find was a light blue band that said PURITY. Girls would wear it but guys NO, it had to be white to remind the wearer of Righteousness too. So I found a web sight that would print anything on the band you wanted. Then I got real excited and started to pray to GOD and ask him what to put on it. For weeks I got nothing and I was running out of time. You see I was asked to share my testimony for the first time with the youth group at Door of Hope church in Fairbanks Alaska. And I really needed the white band and prayer card to give to anyone at the youth group that would ask for one. But I still didn't know what the band was going to say on it. So this one day I just kept pleading with GOD " Father what do you want on this band please tell me please, I know you want PURITY but PURITY what .. what.." And then he spoke to me and said ""PURITY IN CHRIST "". And then I got so excited cause I knew that's what he wanted. And he showed me that the band specifically doesn't say PURITY IN JESUS CHRIST for a great reason that it is up to the wearer of the wrist band to tell people of JESUS. That some day some where some time someone will ask them " What dose your band say?" Thy will say PURITY IN CHRIST and that person will ask them " Well what dose that mean?". And the LORD showed me that that is their open door to shear the message of JESUS with them. So I e-mailed the company I ordered from and thy said that the bands were in production the very next day.
So I praise GOD,on June 1 2005, that the very first order of PURITY IN CHRIST bands arrived at my door step 3 hours before I got to tell my testimony, the way that LORD showed and told me to, for the very first time and that night GOD touched everyones life especially mine.
